Students from Venango Catholic High School and St. Stephen and St. Patrick elementary schools attended the Youngstown State University English Festival this month, and several were winners at the event.

Students must read seven books to prepare for the festival and attend various tracks of workshops and speakers throughout the day.

This year's featured author was Megan Whalen Turner, who wrote two of the seven festival books.
