Media Celebrity
Venango Catholic High School Headmaster Rev. John Malthaner is becoming somewhat of a media celebrity. We featured Malthaner in a frontpage story leading up to the Super Bowl because he is one of the biggest Green Bay Packers fans in the area. Then last Friday, Malthaner appeared on the Pittsburgh Pirates post-game TV show. Malthaner and a group he attended the game with spotted post-game host and former Bucs pitcher Kent Tekulve before the game, and Malthaner had his picture taken with Tekulve. In return, Tekulve asked if the TV crew could film Malthaner asking a question for the "Ask Teke" segment of the show. Malthaner quickly came up with a question for Teke about the Pirates' options in this week's baseball draft.
