Four area stars make collegiate debuts

Venango Catholic graduate Maxx Rynd, Rocky Grove’s Dylan Gravatt and the Franklin duo of Isaiah Jordan and Shakeal Brown recently made their collegiate basketball debuts.

Rynd, a freshman guard at Slippery Rock University, saw action in The Rock’s 102-48 win over Westminster on Friday. He scored two points and had five rebounds and a steal in 13 minutes of action.

Gravatt played nine minutes in Bethany’s 82-60 victory over Allegheny College on Tuesday. He had an assist and a steal and was 0 for 1 from the field.

Jordan and Brown came up short in Penn State-DuBois’ 85-83 loss to Washington and Jefferson. Jordan scored nine points with three assists and two rebounds and Brown saw 18 minutes of action.
