Venango Catholic names top students

Mark Edward Kulinski

Mark Edward Kulinski is the valedictorian and Aquila Cherisse Lesko is the salutatorian of the Venango Catholic High School Class of 2011.

Kulinski is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Leon Kulinski of 70 Horne Lane in Oil City. His maternal grandmother is Marilyn Kuehn of Pittsburgh.

He plans to attend Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and major in biology.

His activities at VC have included football, basketball, track and field, National Honor Society and the Math team. He is also a member of the Venango Catholic Wall of Fame.

Lesko is the daughter of James Lesko of 18182 Route 208 in Marble. Her maternal grandmother is Rose Hargenrader of Marble, and her paternal grandfather is James Lesko Sr. of Nazareth.

She plans to attend Niagara University and major in premed and biochemistry.

Her activities at VC included volleyball, KDKA academic team, Math team and the Honors College. Commencement ceremonies will be held Sunday afternoon at the VC auditoriumgymnasium.
